Kabe

Kabe is made from handcrafted rectangular ceramic modules. The glaze is applied unevenly and leaves parts of the clay body exposed. This manual process creates a random balance between glossy glazed areas and matte, tactile surfaces. The contrast comes directly from the artisan gesture, so every module is unique. A free, non-systematic layout strengthens this effect. Random placement creates a dynamic surface in which variation becomes the main design feature. Here, imperfection is not a limitation. It adds visual depth and a strong material presence.
